Engagement Photos Amelia Earhart Park Hialeah
This has been one of my most enjoyable engagement photo sessions this year. Taking place at one of Miami’s most Iconic parks in Hialeah.
Before the location was set and the first photo was taken much planning took place. I wanted this engagement session at Amelia Earhart park to harmonize with the vision of the bride to be.
Hipster in the wood themed engagement photos
I was excited as we began planning the shoot with the idea of “Hipster in the woods”. I was not really sure where this was going but I was quite intrigued. Considering we live in Miami and there are not many “wooded” areas that I’m to familiar with. Hints if you view most of our work it’s typically more on he urban side. Our first conversation brought up the idea of going to South West Dade to photograph in the Redlands with its beautiful agricultural setting. After scouting the location I found it to be quite barren for this time of the year and it did not quite fit into the present theme.
With more research and a whole lot of help with Pinterest and a suggestion from a fellow photographer we nailed down the location for the engagement photos in the heart of Hialeah. There was both pine forests and open fields with a rustic farm feel. Not your typical find in central Miami but perfect for the look we were going for.
Engagement photos and color smoke bombs
Now here is where the fun began. The couple was excited to try something I had never done before which I thought was very cool. They wanted to incorporate colored smoke bombs in their engagement session to add more drama to the images. I was like “Okay lets do this”, but what i did not consider was doing this in a county park. So lets just say I was a bit nervous. Thanks to the direction of the wind and the dense forest we had no problem capturing some beautiful images despite the park rangers. LOL!
Hipster inspired engagement photos
After wrapping up in the forest we headed to the rustic equestrian portion of the park which had a old barn and what looked like a school house from little house on the prairie. In combination with the setting sun it made for the perfect back drop to close this hipster inspired engagement photo session.
Once the sun broke through the clouds just above the horizon a beautiful mix of both pink and gold light blanketed the lush landscape. It was almost as if we were removed out of Hialeah and transported to the farmlands of middle America. It was truly a beautiful site as you can see in the images.
I really had a blast with the couple and we could not of asked for a better day for this shoot. I hope you enjoy the engagement photos from Amelia Earhart Park Hialeah as much as I did taking them!
