I’m Erik Esparza, the founder and lead storyteller behind Ezekiel. My journey began at 14 when developing my first roll of black-and-white film sparked a passion for preserving meaningful moments. Over 17 years, that spark has grown into a dedication to crafting authentic, elegant, and purposeful narratives.

My background as a therapist has deeply influenced my approach to the art of human connection, helping me capture relaxed, authentic emotions and stories. Paired with my love for fashion, color, and composition, this approach shapes the artistry behind every image I create.

Collaboration is at the core of my work. My wife, a former top wedding planner, has inspired a storytelling process that we weave into every project. This approach has led to features in esteemed publications like The Knot, South Asian Bride Magazine, Weddings & Honeymoon Magazine, and Chilled Magazine. Yet, the most extraordinary privilege is our clients’ trust in us to capture their most important moments.

Ezekiel is a perfect name for the company. In the Hebrew language, it translates to “The Strength of God,” which embodies the SPIRIT of life, creativity, and adventure.

It reflects my belief that photography is more than taking a snapshot—it’s about creating a legacy of moments that inspire and endure.

On My Down Time

When I am not shooting, I teach my boys how to be entrepreneurs, roam around Tulsa, scout different locations, interact with people, and develop innovative ideas to bring to the next event or shoot. The last goal is to transform Ezekiel (Z3KE) into a trademark of a superior lifestyle photography brand that clients can rely on and turn to in the next generation.
